Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Extra Strength Review

Conclusion: Slimquick Pure (formerly SlimQuick Razor Maximum Strength) contains a handful of useful ingredients (like the properly standardized green tea extract and caffeine) that may be included at helpful dosages.

Unfortunately, it also includes 16 other ingredients, most of which are almost certainly included as doses that qualify them only as “label dressing” (i.e., they’re not included at dosages high enough to elicit the effects atttributed to them, but instead are there to make the label appear more impressive than it actually is).

The product also hides behind a proprietary formula, which prevents us from knowing for sure, which of the ingredients are included at useful dosages. This makes an accurate assessment of this product’s value almost impossible.

Introduction: Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Extra Strength Review

According to the advertising…

“SlimQuick Pure Extra Strength is the only fat burner that is designed specifically to help women lose weight fast. Made with a ground breaking natural formula that’s designed to help women lose 3x the weight in 13 weeks.”

As this review will demonstrate, talk – or advertising, in this case – is cheap.

First of all, there dozens of fat burners for women available on the market today. SlimQuick is hardly the only product designed for women.

Second, to suggest the realities of weight loss are any different for women than they are for men is ridiculous.

Sure, women have much higher levels of estrogen than men, and menstruation – with the cravings that it can cause – can be a challenge. Ultimately though, the realities are the same; if you want to lose weight, you consume fewer calories than you expend.

That’s it. That’s all.

More Effective for Women? Ah… NO

In order to claim that your product generates more dramatic weight loss results for the fairer sex, it would need to include ingredients that had been proven to be more effective in women than in men. The clinical studies supporting the core ingredients of this formula, either didn’t differentiate between the sexes, or were performed on only one sex. To my knowledge there are no clinical studies that compared the results obtained by men to those obtained by women.

So yeah, that’s bullsh*t too.

What about the “3x the weight in 13 weeks” claim?

I saw nothing in the advertising to support the claim, but even if it is true it doesn’t necessarily mean much.

For instance, if you knew that people taking SlimQuick lost 1.5 lbs over 13 weeks, while those not taking it only lost .5 lbs, you probably wouldn’t be too impressed. But since 1.5 lbs is 3 times more weight that .5 lbs, technically the claim would be true.

See what I mean?

Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Ingredients Profile

As already mentioned, SlimQuick contains a proprietary formula, which essentially means we don’t know how much of each ingredient is included.

Why is this important?

Because the herbs, natural ingredients and so on, included in OTC fat burners are much like pharmaceutical drugs – you need to take an effective dose if you want to experience a result.

The only thing we can be sure of is the caffeine content – the warning label states that a single serving of SlimQuick contains the equivalent of two and half cups of coffee.

That would be 250 mg.

That’s a significant amount so you definitely want to give this product a miss if you’re sensitive to stimulants, or have an underlaying medical issue.

Since the entire formula contains 893 mg of 18 ingredients, that leaves us 643 mg to divided up between the remaining 17 ingredients….

Green tea
Green tea phytosome
Phosphatidylcholine (from soy)
Rhodiolia
Capsicum
Chaste Tree Extract
L-Tyrosine
Bacopa
Turmeric
Pomegranate
Grape Extract
Cocoa
Brown Seaweed (contains fucoxanthin)
Ginger
Pepper Extract
Guggulsterones E & Z

Despite this impressive looking list of ingredients, the foundation of this product’s weight loss claims rests on a combination of…

  • Green tea standardized for EGCG
  • Caffeine (250 mg): the familiar stimulant that’s present in coffee, chooclate, sodas, etc.

These two ingredients – when present in the correct dose – have been proven to slightly elevate the metabolism in a clinical study. If there’s any value to the SlimQuick formula, it’s here.

Unfortunately, out of the remaining ingredients, only 4 have any practical application for weight loss (green tea phytosome, capsicum, Guggulsterones E & Z and brown seaweed).

And, even worse, they either have negligible effects on weight loss, are supported by clinical data that’s preliminary or questionable, or they’re not likely to be included at a dose that actually does anything.

As for the other ingredients… well, it’s really pointless to discuss them in detail because without dosage information, we can’t assess their value to this formula.

Bottom line on the formula?

Meh.

SlimQuick Side Effects

Side effects are likely to be those associated with high doses of caffeine…

  • Problems sleeping
  • Restlessness
  • Anxiety
  • Trouble focusing
  • Withdrawl headaches after finishing the product
  • Heart palpitations

Two full doses of SlimQuick delivers 500 mg of caffeine, well over the maximum safety limit of 400 mg recommended by the Mayo clinic.

Avoid this product if you’re sensitive to caffeine.

SlimQuick Feedback (courtesy of Amazon.com)

What are people saying about Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Extra Strength?

Well, if you read any of the 300 plus comments on Amazon, you’ll see people either love the product and the energy it gives them, or they hate it, and the massive amount of caffeine that leaves them jittery, anxious, nauseous or with heart palpitations.

Although I always recommendation caution when using customer reviews and feedback to assess a product`s value – because the feedback is easily faked and impossible to authenticate – this is pretty consistent with the product’s formula.

Is Slimquick Worth It? Our Review Conclusion

This question can be asked about any fat burner, really. I have it all outlined in the video just below, but essentially, many people find fat burners helpful – not because they deliver anything close the results advertised – but because they represent a commitment to obtaining a goal.

Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Extra Strength Review Bottom Line and Recommendation

As this review suggests, it’s not that SlimQuick doesn’t offer any value, it just that we can’t really determine what value it does offer, beyond the caffeine / green tea combination. Its high caffeine content “puts” a lot of people off and as a result, is definitely not a product for anyone with high blood pressure, heart issues or anxiety.

SlimQuick Pure Weight Loss Extra isn’t as affordable as it appears either; $17 seems pretty reasonable, but if you look closer, you’ll see that at a full dosage, 1 bottle is only a 10 day supply. You have to multiply $17 by 3 to give you the full cost of a month’s product… which is $51.

Not so affordable now, is it? And definitely not worth the money.

At the end of the day, SlimQuick needs to stop goofing around with all the under-dosed BS ingredients and focus instead on developing a serious product with fewer, proven ingredients included at dosages high enough to elicit an effect.

Maybe then, they’ll earn a recommendation from us.

For now, however, we’re giving the Slimquick Pure Weight Loss Extra Strength formula a thumbs down.
