Hoodia Appetite Suppressant Feedback & Testimonials: What Real People Say About Hoodia (It Ain’t Pretty!)
Below you’ll find some customer comments on various Hoodia gordonii products. If you’d like to have your own comments featured here, please contact us with your story.
Please note: I do not post testimonials without a name and e-mail address. Such testimonials have no credibility — I could be just making them up, right? So if you’re not willing to have your name and e-mail address disclosed, you may still send your comments, but I will not post them.
Second, please recognize that there are many valid reasons why Hoodia will or will not work for an individual person. Just because Hoodia receives a few positive reviews does not necessarily mean it will work for you.
Conversely, a negative product review does not always mean you should dismiss a it. As always, use your own judgement when using reviews to influence your buying decision.
Special Note: Hoodia is one of the most “hyped” products on the Net. You’ve probably heard all sorts of outrageous things about it — how it’s been featured on Oprah and 60 Minutes, and so on. You’ve probably read all sorts of glowing testimonials from the ecstatic users of this product. Below, you’ll find only a sampling of the user feedback I’ve received on Hoodia, and I can tell you this with confidence…
Never has a product received such poor feedback from users. So prepare yourself for what real users really say about Hoodia.
i bought the Desert Burn hoodia and took it 2 capsules twice a day for 3 weeks and i did not notice a change in my appetite at all.To tell you the truth i actually felt hungry more often than before taking it and I gained 4 pounds in the 3 weeks that I was taking it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I also noticed NO EFFECT even after days of taking Hoodoba. I also recommend passing until better stuff is developed. I heard you would need far more than can be crammed in a pill anyway. These online companies
are not extracting the compound and a pill’s content is too little.Timothy (Kingofspaders AT hotmail.com)
I did my research and went with Desert Burn’s Hoodia, since they listed very impressive Certificates.Well, I was and still am very dissappointed. It was like taking nothing, zero, it didn’t even give me a hint that I took anything.
I took the recommend dosage (1 pill = 750 mg), then I doubled and tripled it and still nothing. All I lost was $45.00.

I was intrigued by Hoodia and all of the claims as a wonder drug for weight loss.Since I had already read the piece on Unilever, I was aware that the current products were probably not very good. That said, I requested a sample of Starlight International’s Natural Trim with Hoodia and it didn’t do a thing to suppress appetite.
The original Ephedra Natural Trim was an amazing fat burner, but since Ephedra has been banned, the follow up products and Ephedra-free formulations have not been at all effective.
Thanks for the great web site!

Well, it may be all hype, but it DOES work… I have used Natural Holistics Hoodoba Hoodia Gordonii, and it most definitely suppresses the appetite. You are right, in that it is not 100% pure hoodia, and nothing but hoodia, but the product DOES contain hoodia gordonii, and this particular brand DOES do what it says it will: suppress the appetite… Hype or not, it works…

Later, Maureen posted another “feedback” e-mail…
I get SO many e-mails each week because of my first posting on this site, so I thought I’d post a little update so I wouldn’t have to field so many e-mails:
Please go to the website: http://www.hoodia-dietpills.com and read for yourself the differences in Hoodia products. Clearly, not all Hoodia products are created equally…
The Hoodoba Pure Hoodia Gordonii is 100% what it says it is: Pure Hoodia; another product they also have is called Hoodoba Hoodia Hunger Block, which is Hoodia Pure, plus other ingredients…
Their phone # is (800) 701-4556
This SPECIFIC brand from this SPECIFIC website purchased through this SPECIFIC phone number is what I bought, and is what truly worked for me. It is an appetite supressant that is 100% stimulant free, which is hugely important to me because I have high blood pressure that I’m on medication for, and I don’t use anything that has caffeine, ephedra, or any stimulant in it… I simply can’t and don’t!
Please look at their website, please call their # and make an informed decision of your own…
Many people have e-mailed me because of my “review” here, wondering just which specific Hoodia I used, and I just don’t have the time to answer so many e-mails each week about this, so maybe this will be helpful to everyone out there.
I am not affiliated with them, and I’m not in business with them — heck, I’m a psychotherapist just trying to help others, but I can’t keep answering so many e-mails, so I hope this posting and “review” and the website and phone number info will truly be helpful to many…

I’ve tried Hoodia for several weeks now. I figure one should start noticing a change within 6 weeks or so to give it a fair trial. So far I am dissapointed.I wish I had come across your review sooner, I might have given it a miss myself if I’d not bought the hype … still, it was worth a shot. Sometimes what works for one person doesn’t work for another, so I might have tried it anyway. I keep hoping I will find something that really does work.

Unfortunately I fell for this misleading advertising about Hoodia and bought a couple of bottles — making sure to get the real stuff from Africa, etc.I believe it does affect your appetite in some way — however not necessarily to your benefit! I have never felt so hungry as I did when I took it. I could do nothing but think about food and my stomach growled all day! I tried it a few times with a cooling off period in between and the reaction was always the same — EXTREME HUNGER!
So I obviously wasted my money. On the other hand, if you’re trying to gain weight — maybe this is the ticket! Buyer beware!
I tried Hoodia911 for 2 weeks and noticed no appetite suppression at all. Supposedly Hoodia911 contains the real stuff, but it’s hard to know for sure. I actually gained 2 lbs in spite of reducing my calories and feeling very hungry the entire time.Nikki (niknjermATsurewest.net)
I tried Hoodia in my vain attempt to shed the “last 20 pounds”. I started off the day with one on the way to work (8:30). I did not get hungry until mid afternoon (3:30).Unfortunately, the hunger pains were painful and noisy and I found myself craving carbs of any kind and literally sucking them down so fast that I barely tasted them.
This was not good. I tried taking one at lunch or around 1 to avoid the 3:30 feeding frenzy and then began to get headaches. This was also not working out well. I also tried eating small snacks (carrots, chocolate peanuts, cheese) along with the next pill at 3:00. Again, headaches.
I eventually stopped taking them altogether. During the month and a half, I did not gain or lose any weight.

I have been using the Hoodia patch for a few months I have not noticed any real difference that it has done. No Shout out loud kind of stuff.I have noticed it has decreased my hunger but then I’m on the normal not so apt to run to food!So was it really Hoodia that did the deed or just my strong will? I just wanted you to know that I have not noticed any difference in my appearance thus far.
I spent $50.00 on a bottle of what was touted as the “best” most “pure hoodia on the market. I started with two tabs, then three and then up to four at a time three times a day with NO results.I wrote the seller of this product to see if I was doing something wrong. They told me that sometimes it takes the whole bottle before it starts to work and I had better order another right away.
Needless to say if it doesn’t work in the first week, it’s not going to work. I am sure it works for some, but I have an appetite that never ends and hoodia didn’t even have a chance. I was looking for relief and was only dissapointed.
I did some research on Hoodia origination and products and decided to give one a try anyways. I stopped at CVS pharmacy and bought Hoodia Gordinii DEX-L10. It claims to have 500 mg of Hoodia. I just finished my first bottle containing 60 capsules within 3 weeks.Unfortunately, this doesn’t work either.
All the hoodia sites will talk about the 60 Minutes special, but they should probably stop, because if you read the 60 Minutes transcript it tells you point blank that these products don’t have the real thing. Skip it. Absolutely no results.Angie (angihandATyahoo.com)
I saw the ads for Hoodia and did a little research and bought some for my sister. She received an extra bottle so i decided to try it. I have never been so HUNGRY in my life.I followed the instructions and i found that i couldn”t stop eating. Even though i was full to over flowing i was still wanting to shove more food in my face. Thoroughly disappointed.
My weight has continued to climb for years despite a very healthy diet and exercise (though not regularly or enough). I read about Hoodia and thought maybe this would be the breakthrough. It’s not. I have noticed no appetite suppressant three weeks after beginning.Save your money.
I’ve tried Hoodia from Vitamin World, and saw zero effect on my appitite. Then I tried a 1500 mg. Hoodia from another store, not a chain. The man behind the counter said it was great. Again, it did not work, and in fact I seemed to be craving food on it. I sure don’t need more food cravings. So far, none of it has worked for me.Kathleen (kathleenshayATsbcglobal.net)
My sister and I are both using Hoodia Gordonii. First Desert Burn and then from Puritan vitamins. Both are the “real thing” with a C.I.T.E.S. certificate. We both think it is wonderful. We definitely have less appetite and have both lost weight without any hunger or problems. And a huge plus: I have lost all my cravings for sweets.Shaz (shazzi AT earthlink.net)
