L-Ornithine

A non-protein amino acid that’s an intermediate in the urea cycle – which is used by the body to detoxify ammonia and dispose of excess nitrogen.  Ornithine salts are sometimes added to nitric oxide (NO) boosters, as it can be used to regenerate l-arginine.
