Yet Another Good Reason to Avoid Fast Food
I’ve mentioned fast food restaurant sanitation issues before… but this is really appalling:
OHIO — A photo originally posted on the image-based internet forum 4chan.org has Burger King’s corporate offices terminating the employment of the individual responsible.
Fox 8 News inquired with Burger King about an image posted on 4chan that shows a worker standing, while wearing his or her shoes, in food storage containers of shredded lettuce.
The anonymous user posted a comment associated with the photo on the internet bulletin board. The comment read; “This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.”
According to a HyperVocal.com report, 4chan user became disgusted by the photo and began using the image’s geo-tagging to find out where the employee was tainting the food.
It’s good that the employee was fired, but the fact that the incident happened at all speaks volumes about the level of supervision behind the counter at certain fast food restaurants.
It also makes me wonder what happened to that lettuce…
