“Lights, Action, Burger!”

Ever wonder why your fast food burger never looks as good as it does on TV?

It’s because the one on TV has been “made up” by a food stylist… just like the one in this clip:

Ironically, when you know how it’s made, the “pretty” burger is even less appetizing than the over-cooked, mass-produced specimens slapped together by your local fast food franchise.

  1. That is absolutely amazing. I had no idea they went to so much trouble just to sell a burger. They have professional food make up stylist?

What will they think of next.

  2. Years ago, I worked as a line cook in a coffee shop… and at one point, the management brought in a special food photographer to take pictures for the menus.

The dude wanted a pic of two sunny-side up eggs, and geez… was he hard to please! We went through several dozen eggs before finally producing “picture-perfect” ones. And there wasn’t a damn thing wrong with the others, either – but they evidently had flaws that only he could see.

    Go figure.

But at least the food that got photographed was made by us and more-or-less looked like the food that was served to customers. That ain’t the case here. That burger looks nothing like a fast food burger.
