{"id":958,"date":"2009-02-08T03:34:24","date_gmt":"2009-02-08T01:34:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.ultimatefatburner.com\/?p=958"},"modified":"2009-02-08T03:34:24","modified_gmt":"2009-02-08T01:34:24","slug":"bench-day-update-iv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/bench-day-update-iv\/","title":{"rendered":"Bench Day &#8211; Update IV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Weighed in at 128 pounds this morning &#8211; I seem to be holding my own vs. the scale.<\/p>\n<p>Today was my first crack at 135 lbs.\u00a0 The first 3 sets went well, although the fifth (last) rep of the third set fit the definition of &#8220;winning ugly&#8221; &#8211; the bar stalled twice, and John pretty much had to talk (ok, yell)\u00a0me through the rep (afterwards, I just laid there for about a minute, laughing my a** off&#8230;I expect\u00a0I looked pretty ridiculous).\u00a0 Past that point, I was\u00a0pretty fried, and completed only 3 and 2 reps, respectively, in my last two sets (we refer to this syndrome as &#8220;total moral collapse&#8221; or &#8220;TMC&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>In summary, I managed: 5\/5, 5\/5, 5\/5, 3\/5, 2\/5<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m reasonably happy with this, although I would have liked to have finished a little stronger.\u00a0 Maybe next week&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Weighed in at 128 pounds this morning &#8211; I seem to be holding my own vs. the scale.
