{"id":4404,"date":"2011-01-11T05:41:58","date_gmt":"2011-01-11T03:41:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.ultimatefatburner.com\/?p=4404"},"modified":"2015-02-16T09:02:25","modified_gmt":"2015-02-16T14:02:25","slug":"trs-amusant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/trs-amusant\/","title":{"rendered":"Tr\u00e8s Amusant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit, I got a horse laugh out of <a href=\"https:\/\/myaccount.nytimes.com\/auth\/login?URI=www-nc.nytimes.com\/2011\/01\/07\/books\/07book.html&amp;REFUSE_COOKIE_ERROR=SHOW_ERROR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this review in the New York Times<\/a>, of the latest diet blockbuster: &#8220;The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>How can you not love a description like this?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Here\u2019s a better analogy: \u201cThe 4-Hour Body\u201d reads as if The New England Journal of Medicine had been hijacked by the editors of the SkyMall catalog. Some of this junk might actually work, but you\u2019re going to be embarrassed doing it or admitting to your friends that you\u2019re trying it. This is a man who, after all, weighs his own feces, likes bloodletting as a life-extension strategy and aims a Philips goLite at his body in place of ingesting caffeine.<\/p>\n<p>As befits the former chief executive of a nutritional supplements company, Mr. Ferriss talks up a witches\u2019 brew of juices, nuts, potions and drugs. Here\u2019s a typical burp from an early chapter: \u201cOverfat? Try timed protein and pre-meal lemon juice. Undermuscled? Try ginger and sauerkraut. Can\u2019t sleep?
