{"id":3712,"date":"2010-07-14T22:02:09","date_gmt":"2010-07-14T20:02:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.ultimatefatburner.com\/?p=3712"},"modified":"2010-07-14T22:02:09","modified_gmt":"2010-07-14T20:02:09","slug":"ummmmyay-guess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/ummmmyay-guess\/","title":{"rendered":"Ummmm&#8230;Yay, I guess"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eurekalert.org\/pub_releases\/2010-07\/uom-uom071410.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to researchers from the University of Minnesota<\/a>, fast food chains have &#8220;&#8230;significantly decreased trans fats in the oils they use to cook food.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>By using the School of Public Health&#8217;s Nutrition Coordinating Center&#8217;s proprietary database \u2014 which catalogs the nutritional values of more than 18,000 foods \u2014 researchers looked at trans fat and saturated fat levels in french fries from five major fast food chains: McDonald&#8217;s, Burger King, Wendy&#8217;s, Jack in the Box and Dairy Queen.<\/p>\n<p>The researchers found that three of the restaurants \u2014 McDonald&#8217;s, Burger King, and Wendy&#8217;s \u2014 significantly decreased the trans and saturated fatty acid composition of French fries between 1997 and 2008. For these three restaurants, saturated fats either went down or stayed level.
