{"id":2188,"date":"2009-07-06T05:41:02","date_gmt":"2009-07-06T03:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.ultimatefatburner.com\/?p=2188"},"modified":"2015-12-02T10:43:45","modified_gmt":"2015-12-02T15:43:45","slug":"say-no-to-really-stupid-gym-ads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/say-no-to-really-stupid-gym-ads\/","title":{"rendered":"Say No to Really Stupid Gym Ads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I know it&#8217;s tongue-in-cheek, but I find the new Gold&#8217;s Gym ad campaign, &#8220;Say No to Cankles&#8221; to be really annoying.<\/p>\n<p>REALLY annoying.<\/p>\n<p>Why?\u00a0 Because far too many women are hyper-conscious about their bodies already.\u00a0 There&#8217;s no shortage of media attention to breasts, hips, tummies, derrieres, thighs, and (thanks to Michelle Obama) even arms.\u00a0\u00a0Inventing\u00a0even more\u00a0&#8220;aesthetic afflictions&#8221;\u00a0to be\u00a0embarrassed about\u00a0is advertising FAIL.<\/p>\n<p>Give it a rest guys&#8230;while\u00a0it&#8217;s not as blatantly offensive as <a href=\"http:\/\/jezebel.com\/5296935\/bacardi-ad-uses-misogyny-to-sell-alcohol-to-women\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bacardi&#8217;s &#8220;Get An Ugly Girlfriend&#8221; ad campaign<\/a>, it&#8217;s not funny &#8211; it&#8217;s just dumb.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I know it&#8217;s tongue-in-cheek, but I find the new Gold&#8217;s Gym ad campaign, &#8220;Say No to Cankles&#8221; to be really annoying.
