{"id":1334,"date":"2009-03-29T21:03:53","date_gmt":"2009-03-29T19:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.ultimatefatburner.com\/?p=1334"},"modified":"2015-02-13T08:34:40","modified_gmt":"2015-02-13T13:34:40","slug":"false-confidence-i-hope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/false-confidence-i-hope\/","title":{"rendered":"False Confidence (I Hope&#8230;)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was reading an online industry article this morning: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nutraingredients.com\/Markets-and-Trends\/The-invincibles-recession-proof-food-and-healthy-eating\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Invincibles &#8211; Recession Proof\u00a0 Food and Healthy Eating<\/a>&#8220;, and winced when I read this part:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Other food categories that are expected to be virtually immune to the economic storm include French fries, candy and beer, while those expected to suffer include organics and carbonated beverages.<\/p>\n<p>But in an interview the Financial Post, published last week, Wallace McCain who founded the Canadian global giant McCain Foods, famous for its French fries, said that the basics would be the last to suffer.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if French fries are recession proof he gave a resounding yes and said: <em>\u201cThe last thing you give up is food.
