(this represents a 2 lbs. loss from Day 0).\u00a0 The workout cycle is repeating, so we&#8217;ll be able to assess any progress on the strength front.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll also do a body comp test this weekend.\u00a0 Stay tuned&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Libido-wise, he says he feels a little more &#8220;energized&#8221; &#8211; which I&#8217;d say is a fair assessment.\u00a0 And no &#8211; I&#8217;m not writing that in a &#8220;wink-wink&#8221; sort of way.\u00a0 He&#8217;s always been interested and we have a pretty active sex life.\u00a0 So while I haven&#8217;t noticed a huge jump in\u00a0frequency (he&#8217;s not waking me up in the middle of the night, for example), there&#8217;s&#8230;I dunno&#8230;more of a gleam in his eye, maybe?<\/p>\n<p>His baseline lab tests came back today too.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a summary:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Basic Blood Chemistry (i.e., glucose, BUN, creatinine) &#8211; all within normal limits<\/li>\n<li>Total Cholesterol: 208 mg\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 100 &#8211; 199, so this is a little high<\/li>\n<li>Triglycerides: 83 mg\/dl &#8211; normal<\/li>\n<li>HDL Cholesterol: 61 mg\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 40 &#8211; 59, so this is also high, but that&#8217;s a good thing, as values over 59 mg\/dl are associated with reduced cardiac risk<\/li>\n<li>LDL Cholesterol: 130 mg\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 0 &#8211; 99, so this is definitely high.\u00a0 Interestingly enough, though, his Total Cholesterol to HDL ratio is 3.4, which is associated with half the average risk of developing CHD.\u00a0 So this is something to be cautious of, but his overall risk profile looks good, in spite of this<\/li>\n<li>Other Risk Factors, such as Homocysteine, PSA, and C-Reactive Protein are all within normal limits (PSA and C-Reactive Protein are rather low; Homocysteine is\u00a0smack in the middle of the reference range)<\/li>\n<li>DHEA-Sulfate: 321 ug\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 70 &#8211; 310, so this is also high, but he&#8217;s been taking 25 mg DHEA\/day, so no surprise, really<\/li>\n<li>Total Testosterone: 722 ng\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 241 &#8211; 827<\/li>\n<li>Free Testosterone: 14.7 pg\/dl &#8211; the reference range is 7.2 &#8211; 24.0<\/li>\n<li>Estradiol: 37 pg\/ml &#8211; the reference range is 0 &#8211; 53<\/li>\n<li>Everything else (i.e., cell counts, hematocrit, platelets, etc.) &#8211; normal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The total T surprised me a bit, to be honest.\u00a0 But high normal is nothing to complain about &#8211; I know younger guys who&#8217;d kill\u00a0to have\u00a0that.\u00a0 The Free T could be a bit better though, so it will be nice if IsaTest offers some improvement in this area.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll see&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So far, we&#8217;re rolling right along.\u00a0 John&#8217;s been taking the IsaTest as directed each day, and doing a pretty good job keeping tabs on his diet&#8230;He&#8217;s been\u00a0consuming approx.\u00a02300 [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,27],"tags":[231,943,1544,1573,1622],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/106"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=106"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/106\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=106"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=106"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.ultimatefatburner.com\/ufb-blog\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=106"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
