Instead of eating three main meals a day, dieters are encouraged to eat a number of smaller meals throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>This kind of eating schedule helps maintain the body\u2019s metabolic rate and blood sugar levels. It can also help to reduce the sensation of hunger. Portions don\u2019t matter under the Somers program\u2014you can eat as much as you want, provided you\u2019re eating the right foods in the right combinations.<\/p>\n<p>The diet consists of two phases: level one, in which you initially lose weight, and level two, in which you attempt to maintain your weight loss.<\/p>\n<p>The Suzanne Somers Diet does not specifically mention exercise.
