Cortislim, I'm sure you've heard, is the newest "miracle" supplement
that "works" by controlling weight gain and accelerating fat burning
by negating the effects of the hormone cortisol. That's the theory
anyway. The reality is somewhat different...

Anyhow, I got an e-mail from a visitor a while back -- one that you
may be interested in reading. It seems the makers of Cortislim
are implementing the same deceptive and underhanded billing
practices currently used by other less than scrupulous manufacturers.
Here's the letter (thanks to Jim for sending it along, and allowing me to post it on the Web site)...
---
I was intrigued by your write up on cortislim.
Unfortunately my wife had already ordered a couple of bottles of the
stuff. She maintained a low carb diet and regular aerobic and weight
training exercise program while on cortislim, but continued to gain
weight. She did say that she was calmer (maybe I need to take a couple
before I again confront the company).
I have tried to contact cortislim about stopping their automatic shipping
process and about their money back guarantee. However they won't respond
to any of my requests by e-mail, and their customer NO-service never talks
with you -- it just runs a 20 minute infommercial in a loop. You can use
this e-mail on your site to warn others if you wish, as I know I am not
alone.

And here's another one I received recently from Walter in Hawaii (thanks to Walter for allowing me to share his experiences with you)...

Amen my friend in exposing the Fiber Thin scam!!! Keep up
the good work.
After an initial order $45.85 of the Fiber Thin product back in March
2004, I have been sent two additional packages of the product and charged
an additional $150.00. When making the initial purchase I was told that I
needed to take two orders of the product. I made it clear when I made the
initial order that I wanted one order of the product. If I liked the
product, I would call back at a later date and place another order. Upon
receiving the second unsolicited shipment I called and tried to cancel the
order, but was still billed for that and then a third package too.
After the third shipment I called to cancel and I was informed by Fiber
Thin that I needed to contact the Fiber Thin customer service response
center in writing by FAX, e-mail, or mail to negotiate terms on the
additional unsolicited product and charges. I informed them at that time
that I had filed a US Postal inpsector mail fraud claim for false billing,
sent a letter of complaint to the better business bureau, and contacted
Master Card to stop any additional charges. Fiber Thin will never have my
business again and I will be sure to spread the word.
When talking to Master Card, they closed my existing charge account, so
that Fiber Thin would no longer would have my charge card number, opened a new account for me, and cancelled all of the Fiber Thin charges to my
original account, except for the first charge that I authorized.
Amen to the Master Card people too!
Aloha from Hawaii.

Bottom line?
Watch Out! The makers of Cortislim are interested in one thing only, and
it isn't customer satisfaction.
This is an unfortunate trend -- I've had reports that the makers of FiberThin doing exactly the same thing.
