Will Brink's Muscle Building Nutrition
1) Some Recipe *Goodies* For You!
Occasionally,
I get requests for healthy recipes. Of course, I'm not a gifted
chef, so I don't have much to offer other than the material
included in The
Ultimate Fat Burning Diet Primer. So I went to see
what I could do to provide you with some...
Well,
the folks at E-Cookbook.net
were happy to oblige, and provided me with an ebook chock
full of healthy recipes that I may distribute to you (at no
charge of course! :-).
Most
of these recipes look pretty good, but use your own judgment
-- a couple are a little suspect (unfortunately, there is
no carb/fat/protein/calorie info included), and of course,
dessert recipes and dishes containing macaroni, pasta, and
potatoes are definitely ones you'll want to avoid.
With
that out of the way, you'll certainly want to download your
copy of the fr*e ebook now -- and please do forward to any
all interested friends, family, and coworkers. To get you
copy of the fr*e ebook...

Enjoy!

Protein Pancakes...Thanks John!
Keeping
on with the "recipe" theme of today's newsletter,
the following is courtesy of John Di Sante, who offers a modified
(and vastly improved, I might add), version of the protein
pancakes I included in my new ebook, The Ultimate Fat Burning
Diet Primer (haven't picked up your copy yet? You really
should -- it WILL make a world of difference for the success
of your own program)...

Anyhow
John has generously allowed me to share his creation with
you, and it's a beauty. Give it a try - pancakes that are
good for you! Take it away John...
This
makes about 12 - 4" diameter pancakes. Here's what you
need...
1 cup (250ml) - Aunt Jemimah Low Fat pancake mix
1 cup (250ml) - Whey Protein Powder - Vanilla flavour
1/2 cup (125ml) - Blueberries, unsweetened
2 - Egg whites
1/2 tsp - Cinnamon
2 Tbsp - Rolled oats / oatmeal
1-1.5 cups(250-375ml) - water
Mix all the dry ingredients together, mix in the blueberries
with the dry ingredients until they are coated in the mix.
Then add the egg whites and water. You said in your ebook
you can reduce the water and add more egg whites, until you
get 1.5 cups of "liquid" to mix. However you need
some water to give the pancakes a "pancake" texture...
otherwise it's kinda like eating a whey / pancake / blueberry
omelet! :-)
Cook
on the one side till they are "bubbling" and lightly
brown on the underside and flip. Oh... when you are mixing
in the liquid, the key is to leave the mix a little "lumpy"
if you overwork the mix, they come out a little on the tough
side (I guess that's why we have teeth :-)
Each pancake with berries included is good for about:
82 Cals
10g Protein
9g Carbs
1g Fat
Special tip: Take the extra pancakes and freeze them
for desert... with a small scoop of low-fat vanilla ice cream!
Wow!
Thanks John!
Incidentally,
John was also the first person to tell me about the new Detour
Bars from Next Nutrition, makers of Designer Whey. I was a
little skeptical when he told me they taste like a cross between
a Snickers and a Twix bar. When I tried one for myself, I
couldn't believe it -- he was absolutely right -- they taste
unbelievable. 95% the taste of a Snickers bar, I'd say. I'd
like to send one to a laboratory for testing -- it's almost
too good to be true! :-)
Of
course, I made the mistake of giving one to my girlfriend,
and now SHE's pestering me for a box too. Sigh... I guess
it's time for me to get out the credit card again...
If
you'd like to experience all the taste of a great candy bar,
but instead get 32 grams of fat bustin' protein, check out
the new Detour Bars at our store...

Does Drinking Ice Water Burn Fat?
Surfing
the 'Net, you can come across some pretty astounding claims
and statements -- especially when it pertains to health and
weight loss. I'm sure you've seen some of them; "magic
pills" of all sorts and sizes, "negative" calorie
foods (uh-huh), and numerous "doctor" recommended
remedies.
I
found one the other day I found to be particularly inventive.
Alas, I didn't bookmark the page, and I didn't write down
the headline, but it went something like this...
Drinking
ice water can blast the fat right off you!
Interesting,
right? Sounds like a complete hoax, right? Well, here's the
scoop...
Your
body maintains a stable "core" temperature. Maintaining
this temperature obviously requires energy in the form of
calories. Theoretically, if you can lower the core temperature
of your body somewhat, you will entice the body to burn up
a few extra calories by returning the temperature to normal.
So...
Would
drinking ice water be sufficient to lower the body's core
temperature?
It's
possible (if you could drink enough without freezing your
teeth off in the process :), but not yet demonstrated by ANY
study that I know of.
So
here's the bottom line of this claim...
It's
not going to hurt your progress to drink your water right
from the fridge, and you might even burn up a few extra calories
doing so (you are drinking your 2-3 liters a day, right?),
but this is not a miracle weight loss strategy.
There...
now you know! :-)

Will Brink's Muscle Building Nutrition
Last
issue, I introduced you to Will Brink's new publication, Muscle
Building Nutrition. Well, I took some time this past
weekend, finished reading it, wrote and published an extensive
review to the Web site.
I
don't want to give the game away, but let me say this...
Muscle
Building Nutrition is a fantastic product, but it is not for
everybody. Anybody who spends money on performance-enhancing
supplements, and is fairly serious about muscle building and
strength training will absolutely love the book. For those
of you who are simply interested in losing a few pounds in
time for bathing suit season, you'd be better off with my
ebook, The
Ultimate Fat Burning Diet Primer.

You
can read my full review of the new Muscle Building Nutrition
here!
If
you'd rather visit Will's site directly, you can do so
