Continued Update: New Fat-Bustin' eBook Has A Whole
Lot In Common With Onions!
Phew!
Every time I think I'm getting close to the end of
the new
and completely revamped version of The Ultimate Fat Burning
Diet Primer, I suddenly find myself thinking...
"Hey, wouldn't it be cool if I added a chapter
on this or
that?"
And before you know it, I'm off on an exciting new
tangent.
It's kind of like an onion -- start peeling, and you'll
encounter layer, after layer, after layer...
All I can say is...
I'm getting close, and I promise...
It'll be worth the wait.
Begging your patience just a little longer.
For that reason, today's issue will be short and sweet;
a
couple of great tips, a new supplement to avoid, and then
it's back to work on the ebook. :-)
-----SIDEBAR-----
Current owners please remember...
You'll receive a copy of the upgraded version
of the ebook for FREE!. Good deal, huh? Yup
-- especially since the new version will be
substantially more expensive.

A Simple, CHEAP Way To Reduce Hunger And Calories
As you know, one of the best strategies to implement in your
quest for successful weight loss is the virtual elimination
of starchy, high glycemic carbohydrates from the evening
meal. That means foods like potatoes, macaroni, and pasta
are out, while salads, tomatoes, broccoli and celery are in.
Of course, you're still entitled to plenty of lean protein
and a hearty dose of friendly fat (a tablespoon of olive
oil on your salad works wonders).
Since your body's metabolic rate (i.e. metabolism)
drops
throughout the day, it makes good sense to completely avoid
these foods that send your body straight into "fat storing"
mode.
One problem though...
Starchy carbs, especially like the aforementioned
potatoes,
do a wonderful job of "filling you up" and promoting
satiety. Without a starchy carb in your last meal, it's
hard to get that really satisfying "I'm full" feeling.
It's something I really find annoying...
"I just ate 20 minutes ago, but darn it, I'm
hungry".
So I've been supplementing with a teaspoon of orange
flavored pysillium husk fiber before and after meals. Orange
flavored pysillium husk fiber is really only Metamucil, but
I didn't want to scare you away immediately. :-)
Fiber, as you know, makes you feel "fuller, faster"
and
keeps you feeling that way longer. Supplementing with the
flavored Metamucil is cheap, and about as painless as it
gets -- heck, the stuff tastes like watered-down orange
crush. And don't believe that stuff you hear on TV -- there
is NO gritty taste!
Best of all, it works wonderfully at suppressing hunger!
(Ahem... it has "other" benefits as well! ;-)
And of course, it's cheap. Pick some up, and try a
teaspoon
or two in a glass of water 10-15 minutes before you eat.
You'll be amazed! Just remember...
Drink it right away, or it will turn into a solid,
unappetizing glob!
If you wish, try consuming another teaspoon again
after
your evening meal.
It really makes quite a difference.

GHR-15 --> Too Good To Be True?
I don't know about you, but I bet I receive a half dozen
unsolicited emails daily touting the earth-shattering
benefits of the so-called miracle product, GHR-15. The
benefits, apparently documented by The New England Journal
of Medicine, include...
o increased vitality
o increased libido
o weight loss (without dieting or exercise)
o hair re-growth
o improved memory
o increased emotional stability
o increased muscle strength
o the ability to reduce aging
... Plus many others. GHR-15 is, if you believe the
hype,
the veritable fountain of youth.
Um... not really.
There is, as you might have guessed, a problem with
this --
hang in there for a minute, and I'll tell you what it is!
The benefits "proven" by The New England
Journal of Medicine
are not those of the miracle product GHR-15, but of HGH,
better known as Human Growth Hormone. The amount of this
hormone, released by the pituitary gland, declines rapidly
as we age, and is, for the most part, responsible for aging.
No wonder then, the mass appeal of GHR-15. However...
Real human growth hormone is incredibly expensive,
classified as a drug, and available only by prescription.
Worse still, you can only obtain HGH from two sources...
o the pituitary glands of human cadavers (Yum!)
o from recombinant DNA technology
In other words...
If you can buy it in a store, it's not HGH. OK then,
so
what is GHR-15? It's known as a HGH-precursor. In other
words, it supplies compounds which are thought to
"encourage" the body's own natural production of HGH.
The
blend of ingredients in GHR-15 include the amino acids (the
building blocks of protein)...
o arginine
o lysine
o glutamine
o glycine
o pyroglutamate
o tyrosine
Plus GABA (Gamma-aminobutyric acid), a purified powdered
form of the Hypothalmus gland, and a "phytosterol complex",
which is merely a blend of plant sterols.
I guess the main question we're all asking is...
"Is any of this stuff really that good at raising
levels of
HGH?"
Glutamine for instance, may indeed be effective. A
study
published in The American Journal Of Clinical Nutrition...
http://www.ajcn.org/cgi/content/abstract/61/5/1058
Indicated that a 2-gram (about half a teaspoon of
powder)
oral serving of glutamine significantly raised the levels of
plasma HGH (growth hormone circulating in the blood). Other
un-corroborated studies suggest that supplementing with
significant amounts (1-2 grams) of a blend of the amino
acids glutamine, ornithine, lysine and arginine may also be
effective at raising plasma HGH.
As for the other ingredients? It's all theory at best.
The bottom line with GHR-15 is that we have several
real, fundamental problems...
o Any positive effects on plasma HGH demonstrated
by ANY of
the ingredients in GHR-15 have been done so with
significantly more ingredient than contained in this
product.
o Second, there are no accredited clinical trials
documenting an increased level of HGH with this product, or
other similar ones.
o There are no accredited clinical trials documenting
that
relatively short periods of moderate elevation of plasma HGH
levels have a significant effect on health and well-being.
In other words, I find it highly unlikely that you
will
experience ANY positive effects by supplementing with
GHR-15.
Please... don't be swayed by the fact that this product
has
a money-back guarantee if you don't experience results after
3 months. This is a common marketing strategy; most
unsatisfied customers never return empty bottles for a
refund, and are even less likely to after a 3 month period
(After all, the wake-up call -- the charge on your credit
card, is long forgotten). 3 months is also the end of the
grace period most credit card companies allow for making a
charge-back. That means that after that time period, you'll
have a difficult time getting your credit card company to
reverse a credit charge on a company that is refusing to
refund your money back.
-----SIDEBAR-----
To be fair, from what I've seen in the
newsgroups, this company does refund unsatisfied
clients. So if you MUST experiment, please
be sure to ask for your money back if you're
not satisfied (if you do decide to
experiment, please send me your comments --
I'd love to know what you think).
Here's the link to GHR-15 at MuscleMaster...

-----SIDEBAR-----
I would suggest that if you're looking to EXPERIMENT
with a
product that you can supplement with doses high enough
to generate increased levels of plasma HGH as well as
receiving additional benefits...
You should consider supplementing with L-Glutamine.
It's
relatively inexpensive, and it's a great supplement
regardless of its effects on plasma HGH levels. If you're
interested, you can read more about it on the
Ultimatefatburner.com site...
http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/supplements/l-glutamine.html
If you'd rather buy glutamine direct...
300 grams of AST glutamine (enough for 1 month supply)...
http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/prolinkz/pl.cgi?astglutamine
-
600 grams of AST glutamine...
http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/prolinkz/pl.cgi?astglutamine2
-
1000 grams of EAS glutamine...
http://www.ultimatefatburner.com/prolinkz/pl.cgi?easglutamine
-
Otherwise, unless you've got money to burn, I'd give
GHR-15
a miss.
