Publication Notice
My original plan was to publish the Fat-Bustin' eZine
on a
regular weekly basis. Unfortunately, the writing and
research has taken up more time than I expected, and I am
currently considering a temporary move to a twice monthly
publishing format. This will free up more time to work on
the totally-revamped and updated version of my ebook...
"The Ultimate Fat Burning Diet Primer."
-----SIDEBAR-----
All customers will receive a free upgrade
to the brand-new version, a good deal, since
the price will likely increase a couple of
dollars.

I hope to return once again to a weekly format when
the new
book has been completed. Thanks for your understanding!

"Journalizing" Your Success!
I know my dieting efforts have gotten serious when I start
documenting my meals and energy levels in a journal.
Without a written record of my successes and occasional
infidelities, I find myself floating from day-to-day,
"un-anchored."
Things are different with a journal.
Since both your good and bad days are documented for
your
review, the journal becomes an inanimate "watcher" of
sorts.
Failures don't fade forgotten into the past... they are
documented for all time. Successes too, are there to provide
motivation into the future.
A journal simply helps you plot your path to success.
Without
a clear and defined pathway, it's easy to stray from the road
to success.
Now I know what you're thinking...
"I have a zillion things to do in a day, how
the heck am I
going to find time to keep a journal?"
That's a valid question... but we're not documenting
our
lives here -- we're simply jotting down the days meals, the
day's exercise(s), and when they happen, our failures. You
don't even need to measure calories exactly -- simple,
simple, simple! I use one of those day-timer type booklets
you can get at any office supply store.
To give you an idea of a typical journal entry, I've
included one here...
Monday
7 a.m. Awake (ugh!)
7:10 a.m. - 7:40 a.m. stationary cycling
8:00 a.m. 40 gram (1/4 cup) Red River Cereal, 3 egg
whites
and 1 whole egg.
10:15 a.m. 1/2 Myoplex shake
12:15 p.m. Lunch - 1 chicken breast, 1 tablespoon
rice, 2
tablespoons of mixed veggies.
12:45 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Workout the gym (legs)
2:00 p.m. Post workout shake - 1 Myoplex
5:30 p.m. Supper - 8 oz lean steak, small baked potato,
mixed veggies.
7:30 p.m. 1/2 Myoplex shake (mixed with water to cut
down on
carb content).
11:30 p.m. 1/2 Myoplex shake (mixed with water to
cut down
on carb content).
Comments: Good day. Felt like I was going to drop
at around
4:00 p.m. Perhaps a small snack - an apple and a handful of
peanuts?
Obviously I'm no gourmet, but you get the idea! ;-)
Once a week, take a few minutes and review the week's
entries. How'd you do? After a few weeks of notes, watch
for repeating patterns. For instance, is that 3-hour break
between meal #2 and #3 making you so hungry that you can't
resist temptations when they arise?
"Journalizing" your success only takes a
few minutes a day.
But it *really* is invaluable.
Put it on your list of things to do tomorrow! ;-)

Mission Statement
I used to have an "About The Webmaster/Author" section
on
the original Web site, but dropped it when I did the revamp.
I've received emails from both subscribers and visitors who
want to...
i) Know a little more about me and where I'm coming
from!
ii) have me describe the true mission of the site!
With this new article I've addressed both of those
issues.
You can read it online in its entirety...

Beginning Weight Loss Primer 101
This article marks the start of an on-going series focusing
entirely on losing weight with a minimum of fuss and
suffering. I plan to add one article a week to this series
until it is completed (whenever that is!).
The first article addresses caloric intake, and how
to
determine your *optimal* level of calories.
I'm sure you'll find it interesting... ;-)
